Property taxes, especially those paid to public school districts, have exploded over the last 20 years. Taxpayers cannot comfortably own their home without fear of losing it because of excessive, annual school-district property taxes. To reduce this burden, I will work to:
- Require the state to pay a larger share of school district funding.
- Pursue new and redirected state revenue sources for pre-K through 12.
- Explore capping ISD tax rates in direct relation to increased funding by the state.
